Just a little over a month ago (January 30), we were celebrating the 5,000th item deposited in Digital Repository @ Iowa State University. Since then, we’ve been working with the Center for Nondestructive Evaluation, the Department of Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, and many of our prolific faculty and staff to get their research and scholarship openly accessible through the repository.
It only took us 41 days to add another 1,000 items to the repository. I’ve just deposited our 6,000th item in Digital Repository @ Iowa State University—Matthew J. Helmer‘s 2005 article, “Modeling Sediment Trapping in a Vegetative Filter Accounting for Converging Overland Flow,” from Transactions of the ASAE. Matt is an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, which was the first unit on campus to participate in the repository at a department-wide level.
